The Department of Forest Resources Management in the Faculty of Forestry at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Forest Management. The UBC Faculty of Forestry conducts national and international research and provides undergraduate and postgraduate education in forest management, forest sciences, conservation science and management, and wood science and processing.
Decision support systems for forest management have been steadily evolving since about 1980 in response to growing demand from forest managers for sophisticated analytical systems that can address the complexities of contemporary forest management issues such as adaptive management in the context of concerns for managing for forest ecosystem sustainability, integrity, and resilience while ensuring the provision of ecosystem services.
We would like to inform you about the launch of the EUTOPIA Science and Innovation Fellowships Program (EUTOPIA-SIF), for the recruitment of 76 post-doctoral fellowships, within 4 years, by the six partner institutions of the EUTOPIA European University, which consists of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, the CY Cergy Paris University, the University of Gothenburg, the University of Ljubljana, the University Pompeu Fabra and the University of Warwick.
