Topic 1: FRAGSTATS Landscape Pattern Analysis: Part 1

This webinar will focus on background concepts critical to understanding the proper use and interpretation of Fragstats for landscape pattern analysis. Emphasis will be on the role of landscape pattern analysis in landscape ecology, models of landscape structure, landscape definition, levels of spatial heterogeneity, major components of landscape structure and the corresponding landscape metrics, along with a quick demonstration of the Fragstats software. This webinar is intended as an introduction for those unfamiliar with the analysis of landscape patterns and Fragstats.

This webinar will focus on the practical use of the Fragstats software, including input data formats, model parameterization, and extracting results. Emphasis will be on how to use the various software options to satisfy different objectives. This webinar is intended as an introduction to the software for those unfamiliar with the software or with limited experience with the software.
