Post-doc position in Land Change Modelling at WSL

The CONCUR-team at WSL is looking for a post-doc for integrating spatial planning and land-use policies into land change modelling. This two year position is continuing our exciting work at the interface of spatial planning and land change science within the CONCUR Project (https://www.wsl.ch/en/projects/concur.html#tabelement1-tab3).

The Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL is a part of the ETH domain. Approximately 500 people work on the sustainable use and protection of the environment and on the handling of natural hazards. The Research Unit Landscape Dynamics studies patterns, causes and processes of landscape change. The SNSF Consolidator Grant-project CONCUR develops and tests a theoretical model on how planning contributes to the development of urban regions

You have a PhD degree in geography, urban studies, environmental sciences or equivalent. Significant experience in land-change modelling, spatial analysis and spatial planning and knowledge in urban remote sensing are expected. You are communicative and very interested in developing innovative, problem-oriented, and pragmatic solutions. You have published in international journals and have excellent English skills.
