Launch of the Environmental Decisions Alliance

The Environmental Decisions Alliance will be launched with the intent to bring decision analytical approaches to the fore for tackling complex global environmental issues.

It brings together experts, from Institutions around the world, in conservation, mathematics, systems modelling, social science, political science, computer science and environmental policy to work towards robust and sustainable solutions at the interface of environmental, societal and economic endeavours. A nexus that includes issues such as biodiversity loss, water supply, energy production, food security and social justice.

The Alliance wants to keep you informed about future endeavours, including the webinar series, which will kick off in mid-March with a presentation by Hugh Possingham, the Chief Scientist of The Nature Conservancy discussing what decision analysis is, why decision analysis is important for the environment, and how the alliance came to be.
