Ecosystem Services – Landscape Ecology Integrative Role

On behalf of Polish Association of Landscape Ecology and the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies, University of Warsaw (http://www.wgsr.uw.edu.pl/en/home; http://paek.ukw.edu.pl/) we would like to invite you to the conference „Ecosystem Services – Landscape Ecology Integrative Role”, that will take place from 22^th  to 24^th  of June 2016.

As the ecosystem services concept is widely used in theory and practice all over the world we hope to build the platform for wide and fruitful discussion of relations between ecosystem services and landscape ecology.  We would like to direct the debate on the following topics:

• landscape as multi-dimensional frame for ecosystem services mapping and assessment
• landscape function and functioning  – natural capital – ecosystem services
• tools and methods of landscape and ecosystem services diagnosis and monitoring
• landscape and ecosystem services management in practice – challenges, determinants, relationships

CALL FOR PAPERS

Abstract submission is open until 10^th January 2016.

English is the official language of the conference. E-mail your proposition to landscape@uw.edu.pl. Please observe the following format:

Maximum 300 words, MS WORD editor

Title  (14 points, bolded)

Single space

Full name (12 points, bolded)

Affiliation with address, e-mails, corresponding author  (12 points)

Double space

Text: Times New Roman, 12 points. adjusted,  1,5 line of space, 2 cm margins.

All submitted abstracts will be revised and notification of acceptance will be given until 20^th January 2016.

REGISTRATION

Registration is open until 1^st February 2016. Please fill the attached form  and e-mail it to landscape@uw.edu.pl. Registration is valid when conference fee is paid.

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES

Papers presented at the conference and positively reviewed will be considered for publication in The Problems of  Landscape Ecology (the journal of Polish Association of Landscape Ecology). The papers edited according to the provided template http://paek.ukw.edu.pl/?page_id=175 should be send to landscape@uw.edu.pl or jrlechni@uw.edu.pl until 15^th July 2016.
